You should clearly define your research question and why this question should be addressed (interested stakeholders. E.g. Farmers, consumers, government).
AGEC 425 METHOD
In the method part, you should explain the variables you want to include in your econometric model. You should also state if your model will rely on cross-sectional or time series data. Every variable should have a small paragraph about the rationale of why it is relevant to incorporate them in your model. I would like that you provide your hypothesis about how this independent variable is expected to affect the dependent variable (hypothesis). Most of your variables should also reference the research literature you consulted to build your model.
Your section should conclude with a table presenting a summary of your variables, their unit of measurement and their source (where you are expecting to get your data).
