be completed first. Both parts must be completed and submitted by 5PM on Friday,
December 18.

Assignments; click on Final Exam Pt. 1 – Quiz. You have 50 minutes to complete
this portion, so choose a time when you are not likely to be interrupted.
2) Part II – Essay (70%) HIS 170 American History Assignment
Write an integrated essay relating to the course theme of American Exceptionalism
that addresses the entire span of the course — See the quotations and question later
in this document.

Assignments; find the Final Exam: Pt 2 – Essay & click on it
-Attach your document in Word, pdf or Google Docs format and click Save. Prof. Maust
is unable to download other formats, so please do not submit a Pages document. If you
submit a Google Doc, be certain to give Prof. Maust permission to see the document.
-If you are uncertain you submitted the exam successfully, please email Prof. Maust

sources and to put all direct quotations in quotation marks.
This is a take home exam. It is open book – use all the assigned materials and resources
