This module is assessed 100% through this coursework assignment.
You must submit an individual report that incorporates the Big Data strategy, including the problem analysis, value proposition, technology solutions design and feasibility assessment, etc., to address the problem situation given. The report should not exceed 20 pages of A4 with a minimum font size of 10, including tables and diagrams/illustrations but excluding references and appendices.
The report is expected to be based on the groupwork that is carried out throughout the term. Each group must give a presentation in the final week that provides the proposed solution. While the solution development is carried out through the groupwork activity, the report must be written individually, and it should not exhibit any evidence of collusion in writing.

2. The Problem
Each group must choose one of the problems from the two following options:
Problem A: Improving Healthcare through Big Data Analytics
There are a number of opportunities in improving healthcare provision through the use of Big Data. For example, a whitepaper published in 2016 by an EU think tank Big Data Value Association (BDV) (http://www.bdva.eu/sites/default/files/Big%20Data%20Technologies%20in%20Healthcare.pdf) outlines the following areas in which opportunities for Big Data analytics may have the most impact:NMR89 Big Data in Business

Problem B: Improving Learning through Big Data Analytics
Learning is a rapidly developing field in which Big Data analytics can find opportunities for new approaches and improvements. There is a term “Learning Analytics” which refers to the application of data analytics to improve the effectiveness of both learning itself and the context as well as operation of learning provision. For example, a whitepaper published by JISC in 2016 (https://www.jisc.ac.uk/reports/learning-analytics-in-higher-education) highlights a wide range of case studies in which learning analytics has been applied in higher education. Its update in 2017 (http://repository.jisc.ac.uk/6560/1/learning-analytics_and_student_success.pdf) showcases the following outcomes of learning analytics:
Learning is a data rich field in which Big Data analytics has the opportunity to bring new approaches, practices and improvements. Among the challenges in learning analytics include gathering reliable data necessary to carry out meaningful analytics and ethical and privacy issues.

Your task, to be addressed in a group, is to propose an innovative solution to one of the problem areas above by making use of Big Data, analytics and related technologies. This may not be just about using a large amount of data (volume) but other aspects of Big Data such as variety and velocity, as well as relevant analytics approaches. Also the topic can have a broader interpretation as well as scope, e.g., the geographical domain may not be confined to UK, and target might not be higher education but other age groups. However, there must be clear beneficiaries of the solution who may be non- commercial. The proposed solution is expected to be made available within the next two years but can include expectations for its future evolution.
