Social Inequalities Assignment:

Your answer must be between 500 and 750 words. It is all right to go a little above 750 words, but you MUST reach at least 500.

• You must cover ALL of the Social Institutions (Family, School, Work, Health, Media), but you don’t have to include all of the different bases of inequalities that were covered in Unit 1. You can choose whichever one(s) you want to answer the two subquestions for the paper.For example, you can write about how race inequality plays out in each of the five Social Institutions and how race inequality can be reduced in each institution. Or you can choose a different basis of inequality for each Institution. Or anything in between. It is your choice.You only need to cover ONE basis of inequality for each institution.Just make sure that you cover all five Social Institutions for BOTH subquestions in ONE answer.Use the Unit 2 Paper Planning guide we did in class (it is also available in Canvas) to help you organize.
