The Walking Dead Series Assignment The walking dead is a series based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman. (Nicotelo) It demonstrates life in months after a zombie invasion. Police Rick Grimes is the main character, who survived the attack but has to search for his family. After they are reunited, they, with other survivors try all means to survive and are in constant move in search of a safe and secure home. But the question of safety becomes questionable when the survivors experience so much pressure that sends them into the deepest depths of human cruelty. It turns out that the zombies are the least of their concern since they are becoming deadly.
Season 2 Episode 7, is dubbed pretty much dead already. With the zombies running around and turning people, things are pretty tense. They are now stuck on this farm surrounded by zombies and are torn between staying and leaving. Everyone has these different opinions, which they want to air out and have the others follow. Most of the conversations are confrontational. For example, Shayne says that they got to make things right, or just go. On the other hand, Rick explains that they can’t leave without Sophia. That difference of opinion leads to a heated argument. Shane firmly believes that Sophia is long gone, Daryl is furious that Shane would give up that easily, and Rick doesn’t even want to think about it. Daryl even goes ahead to saddle a horse to go I search of Sophia, but Carol stops him. Daryl is not happy with this, and storms out cursing. The Walking Dead Series Assignment
At one point, Rick interrupts Herhsel’s lunch, wanting to discuss the barn. (The walking dead) Herhsel doesn’t wish to hear any of that and still insists that the group must leave by the end of the week. Rick admits that the two of them have differing views concerning the walkers, but if they leave they will die. He even goes ahead to confesses that his wife is pregnant. The two of them engage in an argument.
Another argument ensues after Maggie confronts Hershel about making the others leave while quoting the scripture. ‘Love one another as I have loved you,’ said Maggie. Shane also confronts Lori, arguing that Rick isn’t strong enough to keep her and Carl safe. Shane is referring to the baby that Lori is carrying, to which she responds will never be his. This argument is a bit personal. Glenn confronts Maggie again and wants to tell the rest of her secret. He says that secrets get someone killed, and he’d rather have her pissed off at him and alive, than like him and die. The Walking Dead Series Assignment
Clearly the tension is high, and everyone is almost at their breaking point, and the arguments are many. But there are also calm moments where they talk and agree on something. Like when Glenn confronts Maggie about the secret, she gets the sense and instead of arguing back, she kisses him. While Carl does homework with Lori, she assures her that she won’t be leaving until they find Sophia. Daryl also takes her to a pond where a Cherokee rose is blooming and reassures her that they will find Sophia. These are kind words which reassure Lori. The Walking Dead Series Assignment
In the situation they are in, communication is mostly broken, with a lot of arguments and shouting. There is a lot of tension, and the major thing in their minds is survival. And for that, they will do just about anything.
